Major Events
During each school year, TechLink hosts four major events - Orientation Dinner, RingLink, JazzLink and InfinteLink - that span the entire MIT-Harvard community. At these events, new admits, current students, distinguished alumni and industry leaders gather together at the MIT Walker Memorial Auditorium. The result is often a fostering of ideas for collaborative research and/or entrepreneurial partnerships. Numerous 50k teams and business ventures have been created under these settings.
LeaderLink
In September, January and April of each year, TechLink host events called LeaderLink at which leaders of student organizations from MIT, MIT Sloan and Harvard Business School meet together to introduce the missions of their organizations, discover synergies, express interests for collaborations, and formulate partnership plans.
TechBiz Lectures
TechLink invites MIT faculty and industry professionals to give presentations on their area of expertise. These presentations, called TechBiz Lectures, attract a diverse audience from MIT and focus on the intersection of business and technology. TechBiz Lectures are co-sponsored by the Graduate Student Council Academics and Research Committee (GSC ARC).
CIO/CTO Series Lectures
TechLink invites CIO/CTOs, often from Fortune 500 companies, to give lectures at MIT on the changing impact of technology on business.
Lab Tours
To showcase the cutting-edge technologies being developed in the MIT laboratories, TechLink coordinates with graduate students to host one-hour tours of their research labs. Past lab tours have included research groups affiliated with the MIT Media Lab, the Sloan Automobile Lab, and the Langer Lab.
