To showcase the cutting-edge technologies being developed in the MIT laboratories, TechLink coordinates with graduate students to host one-hour tours of their research labs. Past lab tours have included research groups affiliated with the MIT Media Lab, the Sloan Automobile Lab, and the Langer Lab.
Procedures:
1.Identify a field of interest.2.Contact (4) leading research labs in the field.3.Recruit a diverse mix of inquisitive students.4.Introduce students to experiments, researchers, and previously unseen work.5.Mix students and labs thoroughly for two hours.6.Allow contents to chill and mingle for 1-2 hours.7.Take photos and post them on facebook.8.Rinse and repeat.
